Christmas Baking with Krusteaz

One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is bake cookies. I LOVE to bake cookies. I usually make them from scratch and make way too many. That’s why I’m so glad I found Krusteaz cookie mixes this year!

I tried three different cookie mixes – snickerdoodle, sugar cookie, and chocolate chip.

My favorite cookie mix was the Snickerdoodle.

They came out so incredibly soft and delicious. Want to make your snickerdoodle cookies taste above and beyond? Add about half of the the cinnamon mix to the cookie batter.

I made a double batch, so I added one of the full cinnamon/sugar packets. Then I sprinkled just a bit of the cinnamon mix on top of each cookie for an extra touch.

My second favorite (but no less delicious) was the Butter Vanilla Sugar cookies.

My family has a “secret” ingredient that always ups our sugar cookie game – adding a teaspoon of lemon extract! They don’t taste like lemon cookies, just like deliciousness. I did the same thing for these cookies, and wow!

I smothered them in a simple icing – just mix milk and powdered sugar together until you get a medium thickness icing. I dipped the cookies right in the icing to cover them. They took forever to dry, but man they are so yummy!

My third favorite was the Triple Chocolate Chunk cookies. They may not look like the picture, but they still taste super good! I love the different size chunks of chocolate in the cookies.

Not sure what kind of cookie you should bake this year? Take the Krusteaz cookie swap quiz to find out! Also by taking the quiz, you will receive a coupon for Krusteaz cookie mix and a chance to win a $100 grocery gift card. I got Gingerbread Cookies with Spiced Marshmallow Buttercream!
