50 Delicious Fudge Recipes
Today is National Fudge Day!
Did you know that fudge is an American invention? It was created in the 1800s. The first recipe was made of chocolate, cream, butter and sugar. It was a bitch to make apparently. Now you can make fudge in minutes with some recipes.
I have a very love/hate relationship with fudge. I love to eat it, I hate to make it. One night when I was studying abroad in London, I got a craving for fudge. I ran down to the store right before closing and got what I needed. I came back and attempted to make fudge. Instead, I burnt everthing and COATED the stove top with sticky, burnt sugar. It was terrible. I ended up finding fudge being sold at a market a few days later and stuck with that.
I think my favorite part of the whole situation was how my British friends reacted. Basically a ‘why didn’t you just go buy it’ type response. 🙂
Anyways, I searched around the internet for the best looking fudge recipes. I’ve organized them by type, because I’m super anal that way.
