Four Ingredient Chicken Recipe
I like food. But I don’t particularly like making it. Every Wednesday is my dinner night. I’m expected to make food for my parents and me. On the particular Wednesday I made this, I was seriously dragging my feet on making dinner. I usually like to make a crockpot meal because it is super easy and I can ignore it all day. But since I didn’t get up early enough, that route was out.
My dad mentioned making this chicken recipe. I’m pretty sure it is just something he made up. But it turned out pretty yummy.
I like to call it the throw it all together chicken recipe.
First, you need stuffing. I got this stuffing from Aldi for .60. I think it usually is around .75. I highly recommend shopping at Aldi. I’m 90% sure that all their food is normal brand food in a different package. It definitely tastes that way.
I used a normal brownie/baking pan. I lined it with foil for easier cleanup but isn’t necessary. Pour the stuffing mix into the pan and spread them out evenly.
Take a smaller can of chicken broth and pour it over the stuffing. You don’t have to get it all perfectly wet, just dump it right in.
Next, throw the chicken on top. I used frozen chicken breast. I didn’t dethaw since I was short on time.
Finally, put a ‘cream of’ soup on top. I used cream of mushroom because that’s the first one I saw. I find this stuff disgusting when it comes out of the can because it is so goopy. I used a spatula to completely cover the chicken. You don’t have to cover the stuffing, just the chicken.
If you are using frozen chicken, bake for an hour and a half at 350. If you are using thawed or fresh chicken, bake for about an hour.
I won’t lie, it doesn’t look super pretty. You can see that the soup on top spread out on top.
Honestly, this tastes super yummy despite its weird look. The stuffing gets really soggy and soft, but delicious. Just beware that it is super hot when you take it out. Trust me, the roof of my mouth knows.
1 box stuffing
1 can chicken broth/stock
1 can cream of mushroom soup (or any cream of soup)
3 chicken breast
Empty stuffing box into baking pan. Pour chicken broth on top. Layer chicken over stuffing mix. Cover chicken with cream of mushroom soup. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
