Wear Blue for Colon Cancer

Today is National Dress in Blue Day. By dressing in blue, you are helping raise awareness to end colon cancer. My Uncle Bryan died of colon cancer. He was pretty far advanced when they found it the last time. He was always so sick and looked like a holocaust victim. It was incredibly sad and seems like a terrible way to die.

If you want to donate to help stop colon cancer, check out Colon Cancer Alliance.

But for those of us who cannot donate, we wear blue. Better to support, then not help at all.

I had no idea that colon cancer was represented by blue or that there was a day! My hubby’s aunt died of colon cancer and he’s checked every 3 years. I think the idea of a colon check prevents people from doing this…sad..
