Why I Use Viraltag for Social Media
Hello fabulous readers! I know you are used to cool stuff about living frugally, diy, food, etc. Think of this post as a look into the makings of Stingy, Thrifty, Broke. I do A LOT of work here on the blog. I basically never not have my computer with me if I’m at home. I can’t help it. I like to blog. I like to find things to blog about.
I’m hoping ya’ll follow me on social media. If not, here is the link for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest. If you already do follow me (yay!), you’ve probably noticed that I’m pretty active on all four of them. And while my computer is a third limb, there just isn’t enough time in the day for me to be active on all four right? Right. Well, kind of.
I’ll be honest, I am on Facebook all the time. I never close the tab. Like, ever. But that is my personal FB account. To help me stay active on all social media fronts, I use Viraltag.
You may be asking yourself, what the heck is Viraltag? Completely understandable. Viraltag is the BEST social media scheduling manager out there. And trust me, I’ve tried a lot of them. When I first decided to start a blog, I did a ridiculous amount of research. I’m that person who has to know everything before I start. When I first thought about getting a planner, I probably had read 300 different blog posts and review. Yeah, I’m that type of crazy.
Anyways, back to Viraltag. The way it works is you make a post and schedule it to go out. You can have it go out in a minute, in a few days, or in a few months. I LOVE that I can put stuff out months in advance. I would never remember to share old posts 3-4 months later. Some times I don’t even remember to put on pants.
But why I REALLY love it, is that you can connect all of your social media accounts. I have all four mentioned above connected. For example, Pinterest is really a pain in the butt when it comes to blogging. All these so called blogger rules. Mostly, don’t post one pin to too many boards at once because people will think you are a spammer. I’m not gonna sit there and wait with my finger posed over the repin button. With Viraltag, I just post my one picture, choose the boards I want it posted it, and set the time in between each post. For example, I post on one board at 2pm, then another 3pm, etc. Easy peasy.
They also have a content section, but honestly, I have no real idea how to use that. I’ll update once I get some experience. It looks cool though. I am pretty sure it is like a twitter/fb mashup, where you see postings by certain people. And then you can schedule the stuff you find interesting. I’m gonna try to use this to set up some interesting content on FB. I’ve been using Klout for content for Twitter, so I’ll try Viraltag for Facebook. If I like it better, I’ll switch.
While I wouldn’t recommend Viraltag for an individual who uses social media normally, I would recommend it for bloggers and social media stars. And by star I mean more like you are influential and trying to grow followers. So even if you don’t have a blog, you still have a good reason to use it.
