The Best Rebate Sites

The Best Rebate SitesIf you aren’t using cash back sites, you are seriously missing out. The idea is pretty basic. You choose a cash back site to buy through. When you go through their links, they get a commission. In exchange for giving them that commission, they pay you back a percentage. Usually, the rebate amount isn’t that much – around 2-5% back on your total. But hey, money is money.

I’ve rounded up a pretty good list of all the major cash back sites. My suggestion is to sign up for them all. Then when you are ready to buy something, check out Cashback Monitor. This site compares cash back sites to see who will give you the most money for your purchase.

Ebates

Ebates Coupons and Cash Back
Ebates is one of the most well-known rebate sites. It boasts a ridiculous amount of websites to get cash back with.

Where is it available?

You can live in the USA, Canada, China, Korea, and Russia

You have to have at least $5 to receive a “big fat check” in the mail. The only payout quarterly, on  February 15ht, May 15th, August 15th, and November 15th.

How You Get the Money:

Either a “big fat check” or transfer to Paypal.

Any Extras?

You get $5 when you spend $25 within 90 days of signup.

ShopAtHome

ShopAtHome is another big one. They have a cool program that if you find a better rebate amount on another cash back site, they will match it 110%. For example, Ebates has Best Buy for 2% and ShopAtHope for 1%. They will end up giving you 3% cash back, beating Ebates!

Where is it available?

USA, not sure about anywhere else.

Cash Payout:

You need $20 in order to get your money. You get paid 60 days after your purchase. So if you had $20 worth in Decemeber, you won’t get your $20 until February.

How You Get the Money:

You get a check.

Any Extras?

They have a program called ShopGold Rewards. It is an extra bonus on top of your rebate. You get points for your regular shopping or for reviewing a store. You can then exchange those points for gift cards.

Mr. Rebates

Mr. Rebates

Mr. Rebates is also one of the bigger cash back sites.

Where is it available?

USA and Canada.

Cash Payout:

You have to have $10 in order to get paid. All payments will be made on the first of the next month. For example, if you request on June 1st, 20th, or 25th, you will get paid on July 1st.

How You Get the Money:

You can choose to receive a check or transfer via Paypal.

Any Extras?

You get $5 after your first purchase.

Upromise

Upromise is a rebate site through Sallie Mae. In order to use the site, you have to have a loan through them. But considering most people use them for student loans, it probably won’t be a problem. They have over 850 stores available for rebates.

Where is it available?

USA

Cash Payout:

You have to have $10 to get your rebate. But, you can request it right away and get it right away.

How You Get the Money:

Check only.

Any Extras?

If you connect your credit card, you can also get cash back from local restaurants.

Panda Cash Back

pandacashback

What I like about this site is that they offer double cash back deals AND local daily deals. They have around 3000 stores.

Where is it available?

USA and more than 100 other countries!

Cash Payout:

You have to have $15 to request a rebate. But, it will be sent out the next day after you request it!

How You Get the Money:

For your first payout, you will get a check in the mail. From then on you can request a check or transfer via Paypal.

Any Extras?

You get $5 just for signing up.

Be Frugal

Like ShopAtHome, Be Frugal has a program to beat any rebate percentage by 125%. I’m a big foggy on all the details, but I’m pretty sure you can only request the matching once for any store. They have around 4000 stores.

Where is it available?

The main countries are USA and the UK, but they also offer rebates to over 100 countries, as long as they have a Paypal account.

Cash Payout:

You have to have $25 to request a rebate, which is a bit high. You will get the cash back on the 15th of every month.

How You Get the Money:

You can request a check, transfer via Paypal, or a gift card.

Any Extras?

There is a signup bonus of $5.
One thing to remember about these sites. You almost always CAN ONLY use coupons from their site. You can’t go on RetailMeNot and get a coupon. But, the same coupons can usually be on the rebate site. If you do use a coupon not from their site, you run the risk of not getting your cash back.

I enjoy using Shopkick. It gives you points for walking into certain stores and scanning items. After so many points you can turn them in for a gift card. I’m working on getting a $25 gift card to Target right now!
